The virtual school on lung transplantation aims at providing state of the art knowledge in Lung Transplantation covering the following: referral criteria and selection of potential lung transplant candidates; donor organs; supply, management and selection; the early and long-term management and care of lung transplant recipients; immunosuppression and its side-effects; specific clinical and organizational issues for newly established or running lung transplant programs will be discussed.
