Who We Are
The European Board for Accreditation in Pneumology (EBAP) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to accrediting high-quality continuing medical education (CME) activities.
Our Mission
We aim to enhance the quality of CME in respiratory medicine. By accrediting various CME activities, such as live educational events (LEE) and the related sessions on-demand, hybrid events, online modules, webinars, e-learning, assessments, printed materials, apps, and training centres, we help respiratory care professionals maintain and develop their knowledge, skills, and competencies.
Quality Control
As EBAP’s activities have significantly expanded over the years, a new reporting structure was adopted in 2017 to accommodate these developments.
A key component of this structure is the team of about 100 reviewers, comprising physicians from over 30 countries worldwide. They ensure compliance with EBAP’s accreditation criteria and procedures. Their diverse knowledge and experience are crucial in maintaining the high standards of CME. Reviewers submit their reports to the office, primarily suggesting improvements for applications. Evaluation reports that include corrective actions are communicated to the Management Council.
