The aim of this Research Seminar is to provide an interdisciplinary platform for experts from different specialties in order to present and discuss state-of-the art knowledge in the field, to identify open questions and future strategies for basic/experimental research and potential translation of these findings into the clinical setting. The seminar is also focused on bringing together young and more experienced investigators in the field in order to stimulate the translational research activities in an inter-generational network.
