Launch of the European Accreditation of Training Centres in Respiratory Medicine
EBAP Management Council is proud to announce the launch of the European Accreditation of Training Centres in Respiratory Medicine , an joint accreditation programme with the ERS.
The training centre accreditation is a development phase of the Adult HERMES (Harmonised Education in Respiratory Medicine for European Specialists) initiated by the ERS (European Respiratory Society) in 2005.
This phase recommends criteria to become European accredited training centres and training networks.
This voluntary accreditation process is open to all Adult European Training Centres composed of either a single participating training centre or alternatively of a number of training sites. Criteria outlined within the Criteria for accreditation of European training centre in adult respiratory medicine document may be met by a number of participating training centres forming a training centre network.
Training Centres applying must have already received accreditation from their national or local accreditation body.
EBAP (European Board for Accreditation in Pneumology) is the accreditation body responsible to lead the review and training centre accreditation process. This is done in close collaboration with the ERS.
