This European Respiratory Society (ERS) / European Reference Network (ERN-LUNG) collaborative course will present the latest understanding and advice on the management of rare lung diseases. Due to the small number of people affected with rare lung diseases, diagnosis can be difficult and treatment options are limited. This online course will provide an overview on how to diagnose and treat rare lung diseases, including interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary hypertension, cystic fibrosis, primary ciliary dyskinesia, non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, rare obstructive lung diseases and rare thoracic cancers. Participants will benefit from round table discussions, case-based sessions, and the opportunity to present their pre-recorded cases and discuss them with leading experts.
The overall aim of this Seminar is to provide a forum for the presentation, discussion, and formation in state-of-the-art research on personalized management of OSA. Specifically, the objectives are: to provide an update in basic research in animal and cellular models of the deleterious effects of OSA. Discuss the contribution of different signals associated with OSA, OMICS data and artificial intelligence systems to improve the risk stratification in OSA Analyse the most recent data on OSA endotypes and their different vulnerability to OSA comorbidities.
The purpose of ERS HERMES Examination is to assess the knowledge of candidates in respiratory medicine. As this is a summative assessment, the purpose is to distinguish successful candidates, who prove that their knowledge is up-to-date and matches European standards in respiratory medicine.

To provide up-to-date information on the daily practice of pulmonologists, respiratory scientists and allied health professionals, in order to improve their knowledgebase, and, ultimately, to improve the overall quality of patient care. The information disseminated during the webinar should introduce the basic concepts and established techniques rather than scientific work in progress.
This conference will draw attention to a novel approach in the management of lung disease, focusing on the physiopathology of “treatable traits”. The thinking behind this approach is to use strategic tools to explore the future of chronic lung disease management by looking ahead towards new perspectives, data and evidence from recent studies and real-life experiences.
To enhance CME and professional development of pulmonologists – To declare the Egyptian experience in dealing with pulmonary diseases – To exchange national and international pulmonary medicine practice experiences- To Identify updates, debates and gaps of pulmonary medicine.
