Imaging is a vital tool in the diagnosis and management of pulmonary diseases. Techniques such as X-ray, computed tomography (CT), MRI, and ultrasound are used routinely in clinical practice. Today, clinicians are often the first to encounter these images, making it essential to develop a solid foundation in image interpretation. There have been significant advances in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension (PH) over recent years and it is an increasingly diagnosed condition. Respiratory physicians therefore need to have a good understanding of the various forms of PH, the correct diagnostic approach and the available treatments. This course will identify the different processes involved in diagnosing and managing pulmonary hypertension. Diagnostic techniques and treatment modalities will be discussed.
