This three-part certification programme aims to train participants to independently perform thoracic ultrasound to diagnose and treat patients with lung diseases.
Real life research is becoming increasingly important for driving the development of better management options for obstructive airways diseases – asthma, COPD and bronchiectasis (BE). There is a need for more knowledge in the research community about how to overcome these challenges.
The X International Workshop on Lung Health is an international meeting devoted to the last updates in Respiratory Medicine. The workshop will also cover, as per tradition, a wide range of topics in the field of respiratory medicine, such as respiratory infections, asthma, COPD and related pathologies.
Physicians learn mostly from the cases they have seen in clinical practice and discussed with their colleagues. The authors of the case learning section therefore believe that learning with cases is the best way to master medicine. The cases are presented in an interactive way from symptom to diagnosis including self-evaluation of the participants` knowledge. At the end of each section, references for further reading are displayed.
The purpose of ERS HERMES Examination is to assess the knowledge of candidates in respiratory medicine. As this is a summative assessment, the purpose is to distinguish successful candidates, who prove that their knowledge is up-to-date and matches European standards in respiratory medicine.
This session provides a unique opportunity to test your applied knowledge in adult respiratory medicine against 30 high-quality, case-based multiple-choice questions, selected from the question pool of the ERS HERMES European examination in adult respiratory medicine. All answers are then explained and discussed with a content expert.
In this webinar, two experts in the field will address the evidence available to date in relation to SITT in patients with COPD exacerbated to define in which patients to start maintenance with triple therapy, and discuss on other hot topics related to clinical management of COPD such as the relationship between the use of ICS and Pneumonia, the role of low peak inspiratory flow rate at discharge in patients hospitalized for COPD exacerbation and upon the efficacy of respiratory tele-rehabilitation.
This course brings together leading experts worldwide to discuss the opportunities but also difficulties in studying the lung microbiome. In particular, this course will provide an introduction to the basic concepts of the lung microbiome field and an overview of state-of-the-art developments.
