ERS Lung Science Conference 2020 “Metabolic alterations in lung ageing and disease”

The ERS Lung Science Conference (LSC) is a showcase for cutting-edge research and its translation into clinical solutions. Its originality and success are based on facilitating dialogue between young scientists and established investigators. The programme is made of presentations by experts, oral presentation based on abstracts and poster sessions. After each presentation, time is allocated to questions and discussion. Specifically, the Lung Science Conference 2020 is intended to present the latest advances in basic and translational research in the field of metabolic alterations in lung ageing and disease. Special features for early-career delegates will also be organised, such as a session entitled “Strategically and successfully funding of your future” and the usual LSC mentorship programme.

The 7th International Workskhop on Lung Health is an international meeting devoted to the last updated in Respiratory Medicine. The “theme” of the seventh edition is  “Rethinking Lung Diseases: towards tailored management” so to embrace a whole series of pathologies, even some minor ones, of interest for the audience as emerged from the post congress web-survey submitted to the participants to the last editions.  Asthma and COPD will remain central within the programme with incursions in minor pathologies like Pulmonary Hypertension, Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis and a session dedicated to Respiratory Infections.
