The ERS Lung Science Conference (LSC) is a showcase for cutting-edge research and its translation into clinical solutions. Its originality and success are based on facilitating dialogue between young scientists and established investigators. The programme is made of presentations by experts, oral presentation based on abstracts and poster sessions. After each presentation, time is allocated to questions and discussion. Specifically, the Lung Science Conference 2020 is intended to present the latest advances in basic and translational research in the field of metabolic alterations in lung ageing and disease. Special features for early-career delegates will also be organised, such as a session entitled “Strategically and successfully funding of your future” and the usual LSC mentorship programme.

Pleural malignancies represent common thoracic oncological challenges for clinicians in daily practice, be it making the correct diagnosis or finding the best therapeutic options. This online series will test the audience’s knowledge with tricky case presentations provided by experienced experts in this field. Good diagnostic and therapeutic strategies to solve different clinical scenarios will be provided.

This course will identify the different processes involved in diagnosing and managing various pulmonary vascular conditions. Diagnostic techniques and new treatment modalities will be discussed. Participants will also be provided with an understanding of the pathogenesis of these conditions.

ERS Satellites is part of a new initiative designed to deliver free, cutting-edge education using live-streaming technology, to share knowledge with a high number of respiratory professionals without incurring unnecessary costs associated with travel and accommodation.

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a devastating critical illness characterised by acute inflammatory lung injury, associated with increased pulmonary vascular permeability, increased lung weight, and loss of aerated lung tissue. A personalised approach to the treatment of ARDS patients following the recognition of individual phenotypes is likely to improve treatment decisions in the near future.

European Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis & Related Disorders Federation (EU-IPFF) will organise the first-ever European Patient Summit on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and interstitial lung diseases (ILDs). The Summit will be a joint effort between patient groups, medical and healthcare experts as well as private partners to draw attention to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and other ILDs. The Summit will focus on aspects related to research, person-centred care and advocacy/policy. 

The 7th International Workskhop on Lung Health is an international meeting devoted to the last updated in Respiratory Medicine. The “theme” of the seventh edition is  “Rethinking Lung Diseases: towards tailored management” so to embrace a whole series of pathologies, even some minor ones, of interest for the audience as emerged from the post congress web-survey submitted to the participants to the last editions.  Asthma and COPD will remain central within the programme with incursions in minor pathologies like Pulmonary Hypertension, Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis and a session dedicated to Respiratory Infections. The congress programme is completed with debates and cases discussion, in order to involve the 400 – 500 expected participants in an interactive meeting.

The 8th International Workskhop on Lung Health is an international meeting devoted to the last updated in Respiratory Medicine.

The free event will be an innovative, online experience designed to update healthcare professionals’ knowledge on the major fields of respiratory medicine and offer guidance on how to prepare for the ERS HERMES examinations in adult and paediatric respiratory medicine.

This one-day course will focus on tuberculosis and Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria. Participants will have insight on how to diagnosis TB, imaging in TB and NTM infection, treatment and infection control.

The Union World Conference on Lung Health is the world’s largest gathering of clinicians and public health workers, health programme managers, policymakers, researchers and advocates working to end the suffering caused by lung disease, with a focus specifically on the challenges faced by low-and lower-middle income populations.

The World Bronchiectasis and NTM Conference is the place where the latest outcomes on the diagnosis and management of Bronchiectasis are shared and discussed.

The 3rd Annual Cardiopulmonary Conference will be held at Damanhour Egypt. The conference activity will include panel discussions, free paper sessions, video sessions, and posters. Furthermore, pre conference workshops will be held where expert will be showing latest arts in Cardiopulmonary.

This will be the 14th PVRI Annual world congress.  It will bring together global experts in the field of pulmonary hypertension, providing a rich environment for education and debate surrounding basic, translational and clinical science in this field. There is a particular focus in bringing trainees from the developing world as well as the developed world to this meeting.
